Sking Mammoth

Mammoth is one of our favorite places to ski and when we thought of doing this trip all the way to California to ski for two days, we were at Mammoth with Steve's brother, Clark. The skiing was awesome and the weather was brilliant. Before we left, though, the weather was predicted to go south with a potential for three feet of snow. Great for a ski resort, not great for motorcycles. We were leaving Mammoth on Wednesday, and there was a prediction of some snow overnight Tuesday. We decided to position our bikes down at the airport just to be on the safe side. It's only about 10 minutes from the city, but it drops about 1000 feet in elevation. At the most, we were expecting rain there. When we woke up, there was a light dusting of snow, but it was still better to be on the safe side. There had been no precipitation at the airport.

The pictures are again taking a long time to load, and we need to hit the road. I will blog later about our trip across Death Valley into Arizona. Today we are headed to Albuquerque. Here are a few photos from the ski trip.
